Simply rent a unit within one of our two facilities – either Clevedon or Weston-super-Mare. You can view prices, available unit sizes and all our other services on this website and through our online booking system. Alternatively, call or email us and we will help you choose the best option for your needs.
Once you have chosen and booked your storage space you can access your unit as often as you like between 6am and 8pm every day of the year.
Yes. We also have a variety of added value services for businesses and others including an on-site shredding service, a delivery point for goods and even a business lounge at our Weston-super-Mare site.
You will need to verify your identity using photo identification as well as documentation such as a passport or driving licence.
If you need assistance with moving goods we can help with that too as we also run a sister removal company Yeates. Just contact us and will make all the arrangements for you.
Yes. You must either provide your own cover or you can take out the policy we provide.
As part of our comprehensive customer care package, we offer StoreProtect cover which meets Self Storage Association standards.
StoreProtect provides protection for your stored goods on a new replacement basis. StoreProtect is an extension of our standard contract that allows us to accept liability for loss or damage to your goods in certain circumstances.
Our liability under StoreProtect is accepted on a new replacement basis for most goods you store. However, there are restrictions for some items. To benefit from StoreProtect, you must declare an appropriate new replacement value for all goods stored (known as Maximum Replacement Value). This figure must be adequate to include all goods at all times.
Yes, seven days (after you have stayed for the first month).
Under Condition 18 of our terms and conditions, we do not permit the storage of the following items:
- Any items containing lithium batteries, such as e-bikes, e-scooters, mobile devices etc. (unless the batteries can be removed and stored elsewhere)
- Food or perishable goods unless securely packed so they are protected from and do not attract vermin
- Any living creatures
- Combustible or flammable substances such as gas, paint, petrol, oil, cleaning solvents, or compressed gases
- Firearms, explosives, weapons, or ammunition
- Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents, toxic waste, asbestos, or other potentially hazardous substances
- Any item that emits fumes or odours
- Any illegal items or substances or goods illegally obtained such as illicit (counterfeit/smuggled) tobacco or alcohol and unlicensed or unsafe goods (such as toys, electrical goods, medicines, aerosols, cosmetics, fireworks)
- Goods that are environmentally harmful or that risk the property of any person
- Currency, deeds, and securities
- Items that are unique in nature and/or where the value to you cannot be assessed on a financial basis.
You will be liable under condition 29 for any breach of this Condition 18 as stated in the terms and conditions. We always cooperate with the Police and HM Customs.
Yes, one month. There is no deposit and just a seven-day notice period (once you have stayed for the first month).
No, we do not require a deposit.
Our online booking system can help estimate which size unit you may need. You can find it here: https://bookings.yeates.co.uk/. In addition, our staff are always on hand during office hours to discuss your requirements either over the phone or in person. Just ask! Remember, the size you require will depend on whether you intend to stack items and how tightly, or whether you intend to leave room for movement within the unit.
Yes. You can bring your own padlock or you can buy one from us as we stock a full range of high-security padlocks.
